Each Day Gone Brings Us One Day Closer
The days are getting shorter, and that means that SATELLITE 2017 is getting closer, minute by minute. If you haven’t checked into www.SATShow.com lately, you should take a thoughtful coffee break with the conference website. Since we parted ways back in mid-March, the global marketplace for satellite-enabled services has continued to expand dramatically. Beginning with Early Bird half a century ago, this ability of the satellite sector to reinvent itself and remain a top player in the worldwide mix of telecom services has been its key differentiator.
Got your coffee? Great – let me take you on a ride through SATELLITE 2017. Take a look at conference chairman Jeff Hill’s 60-second video on the website. We had hundreds of session and speaker proposals and, as he says, it’s our job to incorporate all the new applications, the new financiers, the new terms, the new customers and end-users into the SATELLITE 2017 program. It is, he notes, a lot of work and a lot of fun and we love it!
We love it because satellite is so dynamic. There isn’t a voice, video, or data application that can’t factor satellite into the delivery mix. Without satellite, mobility is static. Without satellite, broadband is for the “haves.” In a satellite-connected world, there won’t be “have nots.” This is the mission. We recognize that service providers have to get paid, that new energy has to be brought to the table, that satellite has to be exciting to attract a new generation of executives who will drive the marketplace forward. This is what we will address as we build the SATELLITE 2017 agenda based on your suggestions and your top topics and concerns.
Meanwhile, it’s not all “out with the old and in with the new.” Along with sessions never before seen at SATELLITE, we’ll present the CEOs and presidents of the world’s leading satellite manufacturers, launch vehicle providers, earth segment suppliers, and regional and global satellite systems. We’ll talk turkey with the trendsetters that are defining the new paths of communications via satellite, and we invite you to join the conversation.
Jeff nails it with his last comment in the video: “We want to bring you the best aerospace show in the world.” It’s a good idea while you’re on the website to go ahead and register. The best deals on registration end in six weeks. On the show floor side, we’re nearly sold out, so if you want to get your company in front of these audience, I recommend you contact Michael Cassinelli sooner rather than later!
You can be sure that all of us here in the Satellite Group at Access Intelligence are working for you, and next March 6-9 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center you can let us know how well we’ve done. In the meantime, watch this space for updates and information you’ll need to make SATELLITE 2017 the best week of your professional year.
