SATELLITE 2017 Conference Announces Largest Line-Up of Industry Content Partners in Show’s 36-Year History

Rockville, MD – Thursday, September 29, 2016 – SATELLITE 2017, the largest commercial satellite conference and exhibition in the world, has formed partnerships with the largest and most diverse group of aerospace organizations in the show’s 36-year history. These partners will co-produce brand new entrepreneurship and design competitions on the Exhibition Floor, conference sessions, workshops, guest keynote speaker appearances and networking events for approximately 14, 000 attendees during the week-long SATELLITE 2017 event from Monday, March 6th through Thursday, March 9th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Our impressive list of partnering organizations include: the Future Space Leaders Foundation (FSLF) and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), which will host the young-professional focused SGx event, a series of fast-paced series of TEDx-style inspirational talks from aerospace innovators and leaders; Northern Sky Research (NSR), our new content partner for the SATELLITE 2017 Finance Forum; the EMEA Satellite Operators Association (ESOA), which will host a conference track for commercial aerospace leaders doing business in the 5G ecosystem; and the Space Frontier Foundation, which is hosting a brand new entrepreneurship incubator called “Startup Space” on the SATELLITE Unveiled stage on the Exhibition Floor.

SATELLITE 2017 is also honored to confirm the return of longstanding event partners such as the Satellite Industry Association (Government & Military Forum), the Mobile Satellite Users Association (Mobility Forum), the World Teleport Association (Ground Segment Business Forum) and the Global VSAT Forum (Network Security Symposium). The Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) returns as the hosts of the Hall of Fame Gala on the evening of Tuesday, March 7. Via Satellite and Defense Daily, leading publications in the satellite and military markets respectively, will curate content on the SATELLITE 2017 program, including military satcom workshops and the annual Satellite Executive of the Year Award Luncheon.

“The SATELLITE show has become the most important business and community-building aerospace event of the year thanks to our growing family of partnering organizations, ” said Jeffrey Hill, Chairman of SATELLITE 2017. “With the guidance of the brilliant business leaders and experts from these organizations, we are constantly improving our conference program to provide better insight and focus on innovation, diversity, social responsibility, economic growth and engineering. We are very grateful for the time and effort that our new and returning partners put into the SATELLITE show every year.”

Details of the SATELLITE 2017 conference schedule, including speaking and presenting organizations will be announced in mid-October.

The SATELLITE 2017 conference program is complemented by an Exhibition Floor, consisting of the all-new theater-area, SATELLITE Unveiled, and more than 350 companies from the aerospace community.  The complete list of exhibiting companies can be found at our web site www.SATShow.com.
